I am an Oberlin alum, class of '76, and I am delighted to see that this course will be offered this coming semester. I am a faculty member in the Department of Politics at Whitman College, and, coincidentally, I will be teaching a course this fall titled "American Higher Education in Crisis?" (The question mark is intentional.) I very much look forward to vicarious participation in the Oberlin course as I teach my own. This is a new course for me, and so I consider myself very much a student as well as a teacher at one and the same time. Who could ask for anything more?
I'm a professor of History at Oberlin College (Oberlin, OH) where I also direct the Center for Teaching Innovation and Excellence (CTIE)
